Why is it easy to understand your English teacher or TV presenters, but not native speakers in everyday communication?
β
The real-life English speech might seem messy:
- the words are connected
- a lot of words are not pronounced
- some sounds are dropped
And of course, a lot of words sound different from their written form.
β
While teachers, some actors, and journalists are trained to pronounce everything carefully, most people just say what they say in the way most comfortable for them.
β
It's not a bad thing. It's a natural thing. I bet you are doing something like that speaking your first language.
β
But this relaxed pronunciation can cause a shock for learners of English. How can you get what people are saying?
β
βTo help you with that, I've made a FREE 'Spoken English Guide'. In it, I've decoded the pronunciation of 15 very common English phrases - there are some patterns that you will be hearing again and again. So, if you know their REAL pronunciation, you will recognise and understand them faster and more easily.

I know English listening may be a struggle sometimes, and I hope this guide helps.
